Our story

Born from love. Built for families.

The Goodbye Guardian exists because we believe that planning ahead is one of the most profound acts of love a person can offer the people they care about most.

Founder & Lead Guide

Meet Meg Dunn

After losing her father in law unexpectedly in 2025, Meg found herself overwhelmed — not just by grief, but by the mountain of practical decisions that had to be made without any guidance or preparation. Important documents were scattered. Digital accounts were inaccessible. Cherished belongings had no clear home. The family spent months untangling what could have been handled in a single afternoon.

That experience changed everything. Meg spent the next three years training in end-of-life planning, estate organization, and legacy documentation — driven by a single conviction: no family should have to go through what hers did.

Today, The Goodbye Guardian serves families across the country, helping them turn a difficult topic into a meaningful gift — one that brings clarity, comfort, and peace of mind for everyone involved.

Our mission

To make end-of-life planning accessible, compassionate, and empowering — so every family can face the future with clarity instead of chaos.

Compassion first

We meet every client where they are, without judgment, pressure, or urgency.

Radical clarity

We turn overwhelming complexity into simple, actionable steps that anyone can follow.

Deep respect

We honor the weight of this work and treat every story, every family, and every wish with reverence.

Lasting impact

We measure success not in documents filed, but in families who feel prepared, connected, and at peace.

How we work

Every engagement begins with a free 30-minute consultation — a conversation, not a sales call. We listen first, then recommend only what genuinely fits your situation. There's no pressure, no obligation, and no one-size-fits-all package.

1

Listen

We start by understanding your situation, your family, and what matters most to you.

2

Plan

Together we build a clear, personalized roadmap — at whatever pace feels right.

3

Support

We stay with you through every step, and remain available long after the work is done.
